Clinical Social Work Associate
I am a Clinical Social Work Associate who works with adolescents 12 years and up, teens, young adults, and families.
I believe that a trusting relationship between the client and therapist is essential to therapy. My approach is to create a safe, non-judgemental and affirming space that allows for self-exploration and growth. I believe that growth and healing are possible for everyone and recognize that the therapeutic process takes time. I take a person-centered and social justice approach using a variety of modalities with individuals and families. This can include psychoeducation, deconstructing harmful cultural narratives, utilizing art and creativity, and exploring the connection of physical health and its impact on wellbeing.
I’ve worked in community-based mental health and school settings, and enjoy working with people of various backgrounds, identities, and therapeutic focuses. I often work with clients who experience depression, anxiety, peer and family relationship issues, and ADHD and/or autism with a focus on working with LGBTQIA+ clients. I’m a queer therapist and trans ally.
I hold a Masters degree in Social Work from Portland State University. I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts, Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, I participate in continued learning to better serve my clients and community.
