Professional Counselor Associate

I am a Professional Counselor Associate, an advocate and educator, individual and group counselor, and work with families, adults, and teens. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.

I am a deeply empathetic person that holds a caring and intentional space for discovery and healing. I strive to develop trust, gain understanding, and acknowledge diversity with each unique individual. I am experienced in working with generational trauma, adverse childhood experiences, substance use, eating disorders, life transitions, traumatic brain injury and challenging family dynamics. I am often curious about developmental, environmental, cognitive, and family processes. I use a collaborative approach and am welcoming of all the emotions that we are born with.

I am person-centered and honor the authenticity of where individuals are and the energy they bring, in the present moment. My counseling approach is informed by Family Systems Theory, Developmental Theory, and Psychodynamic Theory. I enjoy bringing Mindfulness, Strength-Based, and Affirmative modalities into sessions to ultimately support the process of self-discovery and self-actualization.

I received a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University, and BS in Psychology from Oregon State University. I am certified through the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon as a CADC II.
