Rachel Jensen

(SHE/HER)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience with diverse populations across multiple settings including academia, healthcare, schools, and community.

I see individuals of varying backgrounds and life experiences. My strengths are in working with teens and young adults transitioning into adulthood as well as adults who are dealing with an array of life challenges.  I am an empathic guide during important life transitions and can assist clients in navigating difficulties experienced at home, work, or school. I see individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, significant stress, grief, and college or career concerns. I enjoy assisting others in building self-esteem, healing from loss, improving communication, and attaining their goals.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I draw from a variety of approaches including psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and self-compassion.  I integrate a humanistic and systems perspectives, recognizing that the client is inextricably linked and impacted by their environment and lived experience.

I hold a Masters of Social Work from Humboldt State University and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Saint Mary’s College of California.
