As a therapist, I am deeply committed to evidence-based practices and culturally responsive care that centers you as the driver of your own mental health journey - in the context of your lived experiences.

I believe healing does not happen in isolation, it requires our collective care, shared respect, and humility for one another in our experiences of pain and injustice. By nurturing a collaborative, therapeutic setting, my role is to facilitate with compassionate accountability where we can face the discomfort and suffering together. I invite the both of “us” in mutually building this container of trust to help navigate the challenges and celebrations that come up during this process of your self-exploration. My goal is to cultivate your autonomy, desires, and unearth the possibilities you deserve to dream of within the systemic environments that influence how we exist, survive, and thrive in our wellbeing.

My humanistic approach is person-centered in “meeting client(s) where they are at” using health at every size (HAES), and radical therapy (feminist, queer, anti-racist, disability justice) values. My psychoeducational and therapy modalities include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Behavioural Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existentialist, Narrative techniques, and various harm reduction, safety, and restorative practice focused tools.

I received my Bachelor of Science (B.S.in Psychology from Louisiana State University (LSU) and Masters of Science in Social Work (M.S.SW.) from the University of Texas at Austin (UT).

Clinical supervisor is: Hillary Reno, LCSW (License #L6917)
