Clinical Social Work Associate

I am a Social Work Associate and Therapist to older teens and adults.

I work with older teens and adults at all phases of life, including those who have experience with psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, relational trauma, and chronic shame. Much of my clinical experience from the beginning has been working with largely underserved and unsupported LGBTQIA+, particularly higher risk folx. I especially enjoy working with individuals who have received an ADHD diagnosis as an adult and are struggling to find a way forward to navigate this.

My approach to counseling emphasizes a collaborative process through which we can harness your life experiences, strengths, innate wisdom, and personal values to guide you towards the changes you desire to make. I am committed to forging a compassionate and relational therapeutic alliance with my clients that creates space for vulnerability, growth, insight, and increased psychological flexibility.

My work is intentionally grounded in cultural humility, social equity, and a belief that you are the expert on your own personal, social, and cultural experiences. In our work, we can acknowledge and explore the role systems, culture, intersectional identity and community play in shaping your overall well-being.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques in my clinical work, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University. Prior to attending graduate school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) from San Francisco State University, where I graduated cum laude. I began my education in mental health work over a decade ago at City College of San Francisco, where I completed a community mental health worker certificate program.
